I spent some time hiking around the Living Desert in Palm Desert. I didn’t care much for the animal exhibits, since I grew up in San Diego the San Diego Zoo is the standard against which all other zoos are measured, but I did enjoy the microclimate desert exhibits and doing some hiking in their back country area.
