Smartphone

Smartphone

Coming from a world of corporate IT, I was a confirmed Blackberry person. When I left that world and started by own business, I got my own Blackberry. I could have my schedule, my contacts, my email, and the web (sort of) right there on my phone. My last Blackberry was a Bold on AT&T. I love that smartphone.

In an effort to improve my coverage when travelling the country, I decided to get a Verizon phone too so if if I’m someplace where I can’t connect to Verizon, maybe I can connect to AT&T. In order to make this more palatable financially, I dumbed down my smartphone. I picked up a Samsung basic phone for AT&T and an LG enV3 for text messaging and photos.

The enV3 was no replacement for a Blackberry. It was too dumb a dumb phone for me. So, I bought a Droid.

I. love. my. Droid.

The GPS so I can have location-aware applications, the built in Google everything, the 5MP camera with flash and zoom, the available applications – both free and paid. For what I’m doing and where I’m going, it’s the smartphone for me.

  1. Hey…I too love the droid OS but, for me, found the Motorola Droid a little too cumbersome. Went back to my Blackberry Curve for a very short while…and now again a droidette! I got the HTC ERIS Droid…smaller, really easy to hold and use…I absolutely am a fan of Droid too!
