Left Yuma and headed for the wilds of southern, very southern, AZ and the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. Lost data service about an hour out of Yuma. Cell service was fine on both carriers.
Lots of closed rest stops, border patrol checkpoints, and road construction along the way.
Pictures are here.

Sightseeing in Yuma today. Drove down to the Mexican border, saw some casinos and their RV parking, saw lots of agriculture, visited The Quartermaster’s Depot and Yuma Territorial Prison parks, ate a late lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings, did some laundry, and even got in some remote tech support.
A good, no-stress day.
Photos are here.

Travel day, today. Made it down to Yuma to see a couple State Parks before Arizona closes them due to budget problems.

Got in, got set up, went to town to look at inverter choices (to recharge things while boondocking) and pick up a crucial part (!!) that went missing from the tow bar while I was in Quartzsite yesterday.

Ended up seeing a movie in town (The Book Of Eli) and coming back to my spot to discover I had been parking the car on the wrong side. I have much more room now.

Silly me.

Oh, and no pics today.
